GEL683V

A forgotten bus - GEL683V seen on 15/09/10, owned by the 5070 Group who are the owners of GEL686V. GEL683V, the former Damory Coaches number 5068, moved to a scrapyard on 18/09/10 for the purpose of having the body removed. The bare chassis will then be moved to a safe site to allow stripping of the running gear etc. The bus has been a source of parts for several other VR projects and although the exterior appears to be complete, many parts have been removed and the interior has been completely stripped.
GEL683V was apparently involved in a collision with a Wilts & Dorset Spectra near Corfe Mullen as recently as 4th February 2005 (this website began several months after that so this bus has never been mentioned). As a result of the damage to the front off side corner the VR was written off with very substantial damage and subsequently purchased for spare parts.
