News from the "5070 Group
The 5070 Group have moved their donor vehicle (ex Damory 5068 - GEL683V to a scrapyard for the purpose of having the body removed.
The bare chassis will then be moved to a safe site to allow stripping of the running gear etc.
The bus has been a source of part's for several other VR projects and although the exterior appears to be complete, many parts have been removed. Internally, it has been completely stripped and most of the glass will be retained.
It will be recalled that this VR was involved in a collision with a W&D Spectra near Corfe Mullen on Friday 4th February 2005, as a result the VR was written off with very substantial damage and subsequently purchased for spare parts.
