Archive - Hampshire Bus


UWV611S, numbered 381, and PRU916R, number 357. Seen at Winchester at Easter in 1991. UWV of course is a convertible vehicle and ran on local services after this date in open top form!

    A cracking photo. UWV 611S had a regular working on service 5 Winnall - City Centre - Badger Farm as that route gives panoramic views over the City from Badger Farm and from Magdalen Hill on the Winnall leg. I regularly used to catch it to work in open top form at 0745 !!!

    PRU 916R also seen was later a write off after a head on accident near Drayton Bridge between West Meon and Petersfield whilst operating the 67.
