First South West
'1141' AFJ706T
Lovely to see a closed top VR back in public service this year, reported back in July. The VR was a standby for the Lodekka which usually shared the route 300 from St Ives to Lands End with Volvo Citybuses. The VR hasn't been reported often on the route, confirmed dates in August and September are August 27th, September 3rd and September 4th.
On other dates the route (when reported), which was operated entirely by one bus throughout the day, was noted as the Lodekka or an open top Volvo Citybus and once with a Volvo Olympian.
However on September 3rd the VR struggled to climb the hill leaving Sennen Cove on the first trip and was replaced by another Volvo Olympian.

AFJ706T arriving at Geevor Tin Mine on the 10.05 St Ives to Lands End.

Leaving Lands End.

The full Mon-Sat workings for the 300 route which finished for the season at the end of September were;
300 - 10.05 St Ives to Lands End
300 - 11.50 Lands End to St Ives
300 - 13.25 St Ives to Lands End
300 - 15.20 Lands End to St Ives
300 - 16.55 St Ives to Lands End
300 - 18.50 Lands End to St Ives.
Sunday workings involved two separate buses, the VR was not reported in use on any Sundays.

Additionally on Saturday 30th August 2014 AFJ706T was in use on a Park & Ride to Falmouth for the Tall Ships event, however it was not in use on the same workings the following day.
