Four of the five of the final open top VRs operated by Southern Vectis (which were withdrawn in 2006 and 2007 are coincidentally featured in the reports below from Tuesday and Sunday of this week. On a related note the four (five?) remaining Olympians on the island working the tours are being replaced, with the Volvos that remain expected to be replaced by low floor vehicles from Wilts & Dorset in 2015.

The former UFX855S operated the route 152 tour bus for which it is branded, commencing at 11.05.
In its final years at Southern Vectis this carried the registration XDL872 and was withdrawn from service by them in 2006.

York Pullman Heritage Bus Tour, organised by JB Tours, 03/08/14

The former DPX683W was one of the vehicles used on this tour, this was 934BDL before being withdrawn by Southern Vectis in 2007.



Spa Valley Railway Bus Rally at Eridge, 03/08/14
AAP651T was the only VR present and ran one trip to Tunbridge Wells and back during the afternoon.

FDL681V was used on publicly available services.
